Meet the Founder
Hi I am Bharati,
It is true what some have said that you will not be able to fix all of the problems in the world at once. However, you should never undervalue the importance that you can have. The life of Bharati Sadhwani is a reflection of how a woman can accomplish wonders even when confronted with challenging circumstances. Born in Bhopal and a banker by profession, Bharati Sadhwani’s life is filled with highs and lows. But as the old adage goes, "life is the greatest teacher." It indeed taught Bharati some important life lessons. One of them is that it is important to rise up even stronger every time you fall.
Bharati’s passion for handloom germinated at a very young age. A substantial contribution was made in this area by the state of Madhya Pradesh, which is home to a vibrant handloom culture. The love that Bharati had for handloom only became stronger as she progressed through her career as a banker, working in the credit section with MSME.
Her life took an unexpected turn when she was forced to leave everything to join her husband, who is a proud officer in the army. Bharati fell into depression as a result of the many transfers she had to endure and the time she spent away from her husband. Her successful career was abruptly cut short, which was hard on her mentally and physically. However, the fire that was within her burned brighter than the fire that was on the outside of her. This gave her the strength to face the challenges that life had thrown at her and come out on top.
She made the conscious decision to rekindle her interest by engaging in an activity that she has always been enthusiastic about. Since Bharati has always been creative, she made the decision to work on a project that would combine her artistic skills with handloom weaving. And this is how the Ethnic Element was born.
